To Be The Moon lyrics

Everybody wants to be a star But shooting stars always burn out way too soon And the sun is way too hot to hold And always leaves after every afternoon So it's not so bad to be the moon No, it’s not so bad to be the moon So don't you dare duck behind the clouds and hide You help children dream and you make lovers swoon Don't you know you’re strong enough to change the tide So it's not so bad to be the moon No, it's not so bad to be the moon Even poets say there's magic in your shine Every night, the whole wide world looks up to you And to stare at the sun would leave them blind So it's not so bad to be the moon No, it's not so bad to be the moon It's not so bad to be the moon So don't you dare duck behind the clouds and hide You help children dream and you make lovers swoon Don’t you know you’re strong enough to change the tide So it's not so bad to be the moon No, it’s not so bad to be the moon No, it's not so bad to be the moon No, it's not so bad to be the moon It's not so bad Everybody wants to be a star But shooting stars always burn out way too soon
