Original lyrics
ENEver since i was a kid i never did fit in
While all the other fish were learning how to swim
I was dying
To be a member of the tribe
And when i went to school my head was in a cloud
The teacher said, "you will never be allowed,
So don't try
To be a member of the tribe"
Now what can a square man do
To fit in a big round world?
If i am a hand and life is a glove
I stick right out like a big sore thumb
Why don't you come over to see me sometime
I do impersonations from saturday night live
I'm dying
To be a member of the tribe
Now what can a square man do
To fit in a big round world?
Life might be a parade for some,
But i stick out like a big bass drum
I eat big macs and i watch mtv
I've been a k mart shopper since 1983
Cause i'm trying
To be a member of the tribe
