Original lyrics
ENWisdom calls from the high place,
But few will heed her cry
Every single decision,
Means a war is waged inside
[Chorus]:
I won't just lay down and die,
And let this come over me
I'm gonna stay and fight it
On my knees, Lord have mercy on my soul
The fight is something that no one,
Can escape from or elude
This day there'll be a showdown
Before sundown at high noon
[Chorus]
Abandoning self-centredness,
And walking paths of righteousness
Finally, I'm facing up,
With grace and hope I can confess
[Chorus x2]
My soul, God save my soul
