I remember clearly, when I received Your grace How I prayed sincerely, as tears ran down my face The spirit that You sent me, to open up my eyes Seems so very distant from this world of compromise Chorus Jesus, fill me with Your spirit, Lord Jesus, fill me with Your spirit, Lord Let all creation know that I have been restored Fill me with Your spirit, Lord Lord I must confess my sinfulness and pride And empty out this mess of ugliness inside Teach me true repentance, send Your spirit, Lord Until it's overflowing, and there's room for nothing more Chorus Jesus, fill me with Your spirit, Lord Jesus, fill me with Your spirit, Lord Let all creation know that I have been restored Fill me with Your spirit, Lord I can live on nothing less than all Your love and righteousness! Jesus, fill me with Your spirit, Lord Fill me with Your spirit
