Original lyrics
ENThe scarecrow waits
On the hill all day
And the sparrow calls
As the evening phones
We cover the mountains
Like snow
We cover the forest
Like crows
And we'll lie down
Where the lilacs crow
Your hands so small
And this kid is so cold
With your heels on, cries
Like beetles backs
They'll cover the village
Like ghosts
They'll cover the mountains
Like crows
But they'll find us
Where our plot means the snow
Where the lilacs crow
