Original lyrics
ENIt comes during the night
You're sweating, hold your pillow tight
Reality the true nightmare
An illness you don't want to cure
It creeps within your blood
Iron cancer, chaos unbound
The hammer pounding in your brain
Metal's gonna kill you insane
It's the black steel fever, poisoning your dreams
You crave it, you can't live without it
Riffs are vital needs
It's the black steel fever, normal life you can't accept
Drilling, relentless beating
A demon breeding in your chest
Another night is over, daylight is your enemy
Melissa is still there, menacing your sanity
Possessed by demons of the blackest steel
Realize that only death is real
Again the black steel fever, calling doctor rock 'n' roll
Still the black steel fever, the bell never ends to toll
