Chasing The Sky lyrics

We're here at the finale Where everyone's pretending A lie has not been told Oh, we wanted so much to believe But we're holding on to something That never was in stone We're wasting all our lives away Bending knees to those who don't know our name We're running on empty, we're fighting for nothing Falling apart while we're chasing the sky Don't tell me we're living, we're simply existing Feeding the fire that consumes us alive We're chasing the sky Been waiting on the world to change But our future has been displaced Our dreams have all been sold We're wasting all our lives away Bending knees to those who erased our names We're running on empty, we're fighting for nothing Falling apart while we're chasing the sky Don't tell me we're living, we're simply existing Feeding the fire that consumes us alive In a state of decay, we're all so diseased Victims of delusion Tear the veil away to see all the chains Shatter the illusion We try to see the meaning, reality's deceiving The wolves are at the gates while we just sit here contemplating We suffocate, suffocate On smoke from the fire that we created We're running on empty, we're fighting for nothing Falling apart while we're chasing the sky Don't tell me we're living, we're simply existing Feeding the fire that consumes us alive We're chasing the sky We're chasing the sky
