Sweet spring has strewn the sky with a thousand stars Off will all the blocked gates and icy fences blow Through the wind swept gaps in fleeting snow bars A bright blade of soft grass will peep and show You will awaken in the middle of the night And my hands will touch the sky Hailing swans and cranes that are returning home The wind has turned, the land’s stirred and blown [Incantation] Welcome spring this year with open arms Fast flooding streams means winter’s fall You will arouse and arise from sleep Hush, listen and hear your land’s waking call! You will awaken in the middle of the night And my hands will touch the sky Hailing swans and cranes that are returning home The wind has turned, the land’s stirred and blown
