Running away-under a dead moon they were coming closer Every day-fear their evil presence Feeling their hate-the kingdom lies in ashes , bleeds in silence Pray for help - heading for salvation, in the time of doom In the age when the beacons were shining Far away in the land of the free A king was born , named ,Slaine the Almighty´ Powered by rage to protect the weak They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour - the king of the hills They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour-SLAINE THE KING Deep in the woods a dark force was rising A giant storm was wasting the land Slaine tried to save the life of his father But in the end-he died in his arms They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour - the king of the hills They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour - SLAINE THE KING Tear down the walls - he took revenge to all the cruel invaders Tear down the walls - noone left the battlefield Breaking the chains - he was building up a new empire Hold his crown - heading for tomorrow , in the glory years They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour - the king of the hills They believe in the man in the distance He'll dry away their tears in the rain Like a god he will take all their sorrows Watch the saviour - SLAINE THE KING
