Layaway lyrics

Take the kids out to see the wilderness So they’ll remember what it is While all the rest of us Are stuck in technological adolescence Never quite keeping up with the bills While machines are writing poetry I don’t know about you but I'm not ready To give it all up and move to the country What’s it gonna be Can someone tell me The special of the day is being held on layaway In the meantime what else can I offer you today I know little except that the remedy Grows close to the leaf that stings And the way that I see things in a dream Doesn’t always lift upon waking What’s it gonna be Can someone tell me The special of the day is being held on layaway In the meantime what else can I offer you today What’s it gonna be What’s it gonna be Layaway Layaway Layaway
