Meanwhile lyrics

I told her Things could not be better Every days red letter for me I told her My burdons are much lighter And all the lights are brighter for me Makes her so happy so I'll lie again I told her Don't worry any longer 'Cos faith is getting stronger in me I told her All the things I'm learning How the tide is turning for me Meanwhile I'm feeling like a ghost On the edge of night Restless for a home I can glimpse In the fading light Craving for something I can never Quite get right Feeling only inches away Meanwhile I pass through the crowd On the boulevard Turn a deaf ear to the laughs That are coming hard, Add another pile to the trash In the junkyard While keeping all the waking dogs at bay I told her Things could not be better Every days red letter for me
