Original lyrics
ENYesterday the sun wouldn't shine on me
I coudn't win
I'd try to do right but I found I was wrong
Time and again
I was on the night train
Going nowhere might fast
Then the conductor
Pointed me up the right track
(Chorus)
I ain't never, never, never had it so good
I've been delivered
Now I'm living like I should
Oh I met Jesus
I ain't never, never, never had it so good
Was one of those nights and I was
Looking for something to do
Had a lot of emotion that needed release
In my shoes
But I got a surprise when I walked thru
The church door
The Holy Ghost hit me
Laid me out right on the floor
(Chorus)
I was lonely and undone
Without God's only Son
Now the world says I'm a fool
But tell me why am I having do much fun
Come on!
(Chorus)
