Songtext von Optimist

Your eyes have a haunted look But I can't know what ghost they're hiding Still you stay near, idled by fear It's not enough to know that you're here Ease my mind and try to help me understand Why you're warmer than a gun but colder than its hand Optimism will make you suffer fools gladly I'm holding out for you to do the right thing Emphatically People don't do what they say or they mean even if they wanted to Optimist Now I'm an optimist but then I must admit people just do what they Do what you want, you're free aimlessly And dreaming's for fools with a whim to spare Your mind is so nonchalant and fresh, oh yes And magnetic eyes are drawn to your Idealism will make you impatient They're holding out For you to win all Or break them utterly People don't do what they say or they mean even if they wanted to Optimist Now I'm an optimist but then I must admit people just do Optimist... People don't do what they say or they mean even if they wanted to Now I'm an optimist but then I will admit I'm holding out for you Optimist...
