Songtext von The Deserter

Lost in a forest I recall your name Through flora’s gardens I see your gentle shape I can feel the sunshine Right on my face The river is taking me Away… So please give me Just one more glance Please color my eyes Give light to my eyes In the secret gathering Brilliant the uniforms I can hear their wispering Metallic noises Dogs are running I can hear their barking The fire is set On So please give me Just one more touch “Please colour my eyes Give light to my eyes As through the ocean waves Where we used to fall Brothers are fighting I can smell their blood The black eagle is brooding Her evil-minded sons Stop their shooting Stop raining bombs Stop the killing Stop the war Run away… Run away…
