Songtext von The Day of Wrath

Wondrous sound the trumpet sings Through the sepulchers it shall bring All before my throne it shall bring Day of wrath Doom impends David's Word Sibyl's Blending Earth in ash Day of wrath, and doom impending David's word with Sibyl's blending The earth in ashes All life is ending What fear mankind shall rend From the cosmos I shall descend Upon my sentence shall all depend Low you kneel with heart's submission Scattered ashes; your contrition I'm lost in loathing Your last condition That day of tears and yearning Death is struck and nature quaking All of creation is awaking To its judge an answer making Answer Making With ancient powers I command Command the sky In a fire you all shall die
