Songtext von Cruel Summer

Blazing Sun on a midday sky Walking fast just to get by Ice cream melting on the heat Your laughter pulling me to my feet Oh it's a cruel summer my dear But oh boy I'll hold you near Though the tides have come and gone My heart to you it clings on Sneakers squeak on the pavement wide You took my hand and we did ride Through the city lights so bright Endless talks under the night Oh it's a cruel summer my dear But oh boy I'll hold you near Though the tides have come and gone My heart to you it clings on Rain falls and memories fade Seasons turn but I'm not afraid Though you left with autumn leaves In my heart it forever breathes Sandcastles crumbled but hearts are strong You were right where I belong Even when the winter's cold Our summer romance still unfolds
