Songtext von Hangman

An unusual morning has broken The turnkey has opened the gate The face of the sinner is frozen The hangman is holding the blade It's time to raise your steel Hangman with the cunning smile So take his lamp of life smile The darkness in your soul Hangman with the cunning smile Will soon be lit up again The hour of death is arriving The victim is pulled by the hair The priest with a mass-book is praying The devil's voice sounds through the air Its time to raise your steel Hangman with the cunning smile So take his lamp of life smile The darkness in your soul Hangman with the cunning smile Will soon be lit up again The hatched sparkles in the sunlight Sweat runs down the sinner's face A last breath he takes in his deep fright The hangman strikes down the blade It's time to raise your steel Hangman with the cunning smile So take his lamp of life smile The darkness in your soul Hangman with the cunning smile Will soon be lit up again
