Songtext von Leaves Of This Hanging Tree

Time is a pendulum The hand swings forward, then back down low Through the vacuum of faith And the devil you know The leaves of this hanging tree are weighed down low The leaves of this hanging tree are weighed down low Forgiveness from above Or the torment down below The choice was never mine The devil is called time The leaves of this hanging tree are weighed down low Dregs of lifetimes on the floor Flecks of red and green and… On the ground they’ll lay And the colors fade Coiled and spun like serpents On the killing floor they writhe Stare at me with their judgment While the night herons fly Time is a tentacle The hooks sink in and drag us down low Through the vacuum of faith And the devil you know The leaves of this hanging tree are weighed down low The leaves of this hanging tree are weighed down low
