Songtext von Dream Of a Miner's Child

A miner was leavin' her home for work When she heard her little child scream She went to the side of her little girl's bed Oh mama I've had such a dream Oh, Mama don't go to the mines today For dreams have so often come true Oh, mama, dear mama, please don't go away For I never could live without you I dreamed that the mines were all raging with fire And the miners all fought for their lives then the scene changed at the mouth of the mine It was covered with husbands and wives Oh, Mama don't go to the mines today For dreams have so often come true Oh, mama, dear mama, please don't go away For I never could live without you Go down to the village and tell your dear friends As sure as the bright stars do shine There's something a-going to happen today Please, mama, don't go to the mines
