Songtext von My Time

I'd need to trade some overtime for playtime and leave behind the same old daily grind For once I'd like to stand and feel the sunshine I gonna do what I decide on MY TIME...... I keep working as the hours, fade away Bite my tongue and keep a big smile on my face I've been that other guy that sweats all the time Can't make ends meet with his ass on the line He can't keep up - he keeps falling behind, it's a long.........road CHORUS 1: When the Clock strikes four, I'm out that door and my life becomes my own I won't have to be accounted for work my fingers to the bone " My Time" ain't gonna be no "Work Time" I won't let another weekend slip away Gonna take my precious freedom, every day I won't complain or moan and talk on the phone or show up late no I won't throw stones I'll do my job and I'll do it right cuz it's a long.........road CHORUS 2: When the Clock strikes four, I'm out that door & my life becomes my own I won't have to be accounted for, work my fingers to the bone No more ringing of a thousand phones someone always wanting more I can rest my feet, be worry-free in the comfort of my home Soon I'll sign my name and cash my paycheck Though a dollar now ain't worth a dime But I'll be kickin' back and watchin' Star Trek Yeah I don't mind I'm gonna unwind, I will decide because it's MY TIME...... CHORUS 3: When the Clock strikes four, I'm out that door and my life becomes my own I won't have to be accounted for work my fingers to the bone No more ringing of a thousand phones someone always wanting more I can rest my feet, watch DVD’s, you can find me in the zone " My Time" ain't gonna be no "Work Time"
