Songtext von She Took The Ring Off A Dead Man's Finger

She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring He was a famous man but he was brought down By an autograph seeker with a loaded gun So they wheeled him in, they pronounced him gone And only for a moment, they were alone in the room She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring Well, she had to think fast, she had to decide Should they bury it with him or give it back to his wife? Or would he want her to have it? Oh, he might very well It could sent her son to college or keep him out of jail She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring Well, she lifted up his hand and slipped the ring off Dropped it in the pocket of her little white smock What did it matter, would he miss it that much? After all she was exited and a little shaken up She'd always admired him, if only from afar It's not every day you get to meet a superstar She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring She took the ring off a dead man's finger, she took the ring
