Songtext von Two Versions

We fell asleep, honestly We didn't see a thing When we awoke no one spoke We hoped it was a dream No one really thought that they would come To take him away When i think of that empty tomb I know that i'm to blame There must have been several men To roll the stone away All the guard throughout the yard Will swear by what i say When i think of that empty tomb It fills me with shame Honestly, i saw everything They told what to say But for me, it wasn't the money I was just so afraid They could take my job away I have bills to pay When i first saw the glow of sun The ground began to shake The ground began to shake I saw a light grow in the sky It grew in its descent It grew in its descent A mighty man adorned in light He rolled the stone away He rolled the stone away The dead man rose, the dead man walked I thought it was the end I thought it was the end We became dead men Me and all my men We were like dead men Was this really the son of god risen from the dead?
