Songtext von Best Day of Our Lives

When I was younger, I knew I was different I was a dreamer, I could see in the distance The lights would glow, I knew I weren’t alone I know I'm not perfect, I'm a little bit older And under the surface, I could say I'm a soldier I've got it all deep down in my soul And the drums got me higher than drunk Got us chasing the beat of our hearts And the doubts and the fears that we are We leave them all in the dark (oh) This day gon' be the best day of our lives Head in the clouds, I keep climbing the higher I go Something right now just feels right So right, so right, so right This day gon' be the best day of our lives The world's in my hands and the dream is alive won't let go Something right now just feels right So right, so right, so right These are the rules I swear I will live by You said that I'm all wrong But I'm doing all right So watch me go, this is all I know And the drums got me higher than drunk Got us chasing the beat of our hearts And the doubts and the fears that we are We leave them all in the dark (oh) This day gon' be the best day of our lives Head in the clouds, I keep climbing the higher I go Something right now just feels right So right, so right, so right This day gon' be the best day of our lives The world's in my hands and the dream is alive won't let go Something right now just feels right So right, so right, so right And the drums got me higher than drunk Got us chasing the beat of our hearts And the doubts and the fears that we are We leave them all in the dark (oh) This day gon' be the best day of our lives Head in the clouds, I keep climbing the higher I go Something right now just feels right This day gon' be the best day of our lives The world's in my hands and the dream is alive won't let go Something right now just feels right So right, so right, so right
