Songtext von One step closer

There's a (...) preacher on the street tonight He's got a little black Bible in his hand Aaah he's blessed in the gospel meeting in those parking lights He's aimed at the promise land There's a young man pushing the gospel plow He carries his heart in his hand Light (...) in the world, don't know how, he's a patient man And he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Aaah he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Walking in the master's plan (..) waging a holy war, God's name it makes him stand Aaaah Satan's on his trail, demons at his door, combat is hand to hand And the theologian looks for the questions He keeps his (legs burning bright ?) He's determined to see God's election (...) And he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Aaah he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Walking in the master's plan And he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Aaah he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Walking in the master's plan And he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Aaah he's one step closer, closer to the promise land Walking in the master's plan One step closer, walking, walking, walking
