Songtext von New York City

Been down in the dumps for a day or two Thinkin' maybe it was time for me to make a move Late night skyline, that's when it hit me Well, I gotta have me some of that New York City I was leavin' California in a Chevrolet van Out across the desert into no-man's land I just love the West, ya know it sure is pretty But I gotta have me some of that New York City I been away too long and I got the itch To do a little time in that east coast niche Down on Broadway and do a little ditty Smack dab in the middle of New York City I been away too long and I got the itch To do a little time in that east coast niche Down on Broadway and do a little ditty Smack dab in the middle of New York City I was leavin' California on a warm summer night Ocean on my left and mountains on my right To leave it all behind sure seems like a pity But I gotta have me some of that New York City
