Songtext von The Lawn Must Get Mowed

The war goes poorly But the lawn must get mowed The dollar is tanking But the lawn must get mowed I get a bit winded Pushing round that old load But so long as it's growing The lawn must get mowed The neighbors are yelling The bread has got mold The checks have stopped coming The radiator's cold Woke up again coughing I just can't kick this cold But I see it's still growing So the lawn must get mowed And I blame the Sun And I blame the rain I blame the spike in my back pain I blame other drivers I blame kids today I blame that dog that died last may The blade's worn and rusted But the lawn must get mowed The gas tank is empty But the lawn must get mowed Yeah, maybe it's cancer Maybe I'm just old But if it's still growing Then the lawn must get mowed
