Heavy head Dead end days Single bed Pointless chase With my head held high As another year goes by Dance along To the chainsaw song With my head held high As a whole life passes by Somewhere in the shades of backburnt toast I think I caught a slight fluorescent glow A different colour-spectra than I know But I'm not too sure Cause somewhere behind my tired eyes A tiny streak of magic slowly dies Beneath my grey day to day routines Of TV dreams Brain-fed Entertained Blinded and soul-drained Like a drugged ape stuck On a rollercoaster ride In front of the telly Hopefully dreaming of the things I might have been Of all the places I have never seen And never will My living room satellite and I Together on a pseudo trip tonight Anonymous dreamless sleep on screen My TV dream Heavy head Dead end days Single bed Pointless chase
