Songtext von Road To Tomorrow

Sitting in a fast car, dreaming of a better life Trying to escape the struggles, the pain, the strife A father who's lost in the bottle, a mother who's never there We're just two souls searching, for a love that's rare We'll drive into the night, with the wind in our hair Hoping to find a future, that's free from despair But as we hit the road, reality starts to set in We may have a fast car, but our troubles still win Working hard for a living, trying to make ends meet But the bills keep piling up, and our dreams feel bittersweet We made a promise to each other, to never give up hope But the weight of our burdens, feels like an endless rope We'll drive into the night, with the wind in our hair Hoping to find a future, that's free from despair But as we hit the road, reality starts to set in We may have a fast car, but our troubles still win We thought we could outrun, the pain of our past But it seems that our fast car, can't make it last So we'll hold onto each other, through the ups and the downs And find solace in the love, that's always been around We'll drive into the night, with the wind in our hair Hoping to find a future, that's free from despair But as we hit the road, reality starts to set in We may have a fast car, but our troubles still win So we'll keep on driving, with hope in our hearts Knowing that love conquers all, even when it's hard And maybe one day, we'll find that better life But for now, we'll hold onto each other, in the darkness of the night
