Songtext von Childhood's End

Shadows dancing on my bedroom walls Like butterflies Kind-hearted whispers mother’s love Goodnight, kiss There is something no one knows Something deep inside Once the whispers leave this place I close my eyes I’m here all alone Don’t let him touch me I can not escape He’s come to hurt me Wildly dreaming under cosy sheets Journeys to foreign lands Riding wings of fantasy Like childhood never ends These dreams have left by now I feel he’s coming again Mother’s left us for a while Is she so blind? Why me? Mama, please come back home to me Just let me be a child It’s not my fault
