Songtext von Shadows Of The Past

Wake up in a dreamless night Cold Sweat makes me wanna shiver Shadow on my soul I was struck and stiff with fright Then my body starts to quiver My body starts to quiver In that night I won't forget I took a glimpse right into hell Fire makes me burn I was tied in my own bed Could not release the angry yell Asking for forgiveness – yet I can't forgive myself It rips my body in two – get me out of this place Shadows of the past – leave me be Longing for peace and salvation God please set me free Shadows – shadows – shadows on my soul Dark skies never lifted – wrongs never turned out right Coldness around my neck – how long I'll have to fight Buried in a shallow grave Never ever meet my demons again Buried without a prayer But in life's ensuing battles Their shadows will remain Asking for forgiveness... Shadows of the past – leave me be Longing for peace and salvation God please set me free
