Songtext von I Took All My Rings Off

I took all of my rings off I took all of my rings off Out of my ears, off of my fingers, and out of my dreams I opened the window to let in the wind And get rid of what might've been But then I put them out in the dirt Like I was planting a tree Letting the gold, letting the silver leave Out of the seeds, quickly the evergreen While surreal, it's true The gods laid down the whole of Earth in silence Symmetry became the moving lines we call a circle The world's a ring, the stars are rings The Moon's a ring, the light got in Lifted the whole Earth to singing Lifted the whole Earth to singing Then I put all of my rings back on I put my rings back on Then I put all of my rings back on I put my rings back on And sang to the birds who lived in the tree They know all about me
