Songtext von Plastic Smile

Put on my plastic smile It fits just right for a while Mirror says: You're fine Lie to me, that's fine Step outside, head down Fake laughs in a paper town Every hello's a little goodbye Underneath, I just wanna hide Plastic smile, painted grin Hiding cracks deep within No one sees, no one asks Another day behind my mask Coffee, work, small talk Scripted words, robot walk Hands in pockets, eyes to ground Silent screams without a sound Nod, agree, pretend, obey How are you? I'm okay But this skin don't fit no more Wearing happiness like a chore Plastic smile, painted grin Hiding cracks deep within No one sees, no one asks Another day behind my mask If I crack, would they care? Or just replace me, anywhere? Disposable, invisible Life feels fictional Plastic smile, painted grin Hiding cracks deep within No one sees, no one asks Another day Behind my mask
