Songtext von Balsam Fir

I went and bought myself a Balsam Fir I went and got myself thinking of her I drove around and looked at every tree I had to stop when I lost feeling in my knees I wonder why everything is green I wonder why it couldn't have been blue I wish that everything wasn't so green I wish it didn't make me think of you But what can you do? Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Went to the store to look for your shampoo I guess that I just wanted to smell like you And maybe that's a strange thing to do But with me, that's nothing new Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh But you are everywhere I go You're kissing her while you're stoned You are everything I know I wasn't your first, but you were mine though You were mine though I went and found myself there at Saint Mark's And sat around and watched some dogs in the park We're only probably five blocks apart But seeing you wouldn't be the smartest thing to do
