Songtext von The Hourglass

A chat and a glass, a song and a kiss. Give in for memories and it will cost you your title. Your home and its history, the stories written between the walls of it. They won't carry you but I'll help you write new ones. We were characters in a dream. The reasons to try fell around us like rain. We couldn't tell them apart so we watched them on their way down the drain. Then you wake, a bit older, a second chance by your side. And you know a bit better than to watch as streams and rivers... One day out of hundreds. A night, a week, history. It did not take more than that. It cost you your title, your home and family, the years you spent on building it. I helped you remember what should or shouldn't have been remembered. We were characters in a dream. The reasons to try fell around us like rain. We couldn't tell them apart so we watched them on their way down the drain. Then you wake, a bit older, a second chance by your side. And you know a bit better than to watch as streams and rivers pass.
