Songtext von Blues Street

Once you get to Blues Street You can't get away, Even when it's sunny It's a rainy day On Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so. Once you been there, Baby, You always go again, You find yourself walking, And you don't know how you came, To Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so. There's a jailhouse there That's got seventeen floors, Need no bars on the windows And no locks on the doors In Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so. The people seem so happy, And they laugh and smile, But laughing sounds like crying If you listen for a while, In Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so. Life seems mighty easy On this easy road, But everybody's carrying A heavy load, In Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so. Stay where life is simple And the folks are good and kind, Cause once you get to straying You can lose your mind, In Blues Street, Baby, that's no place to go, I've been to Blues Street, And I know it's so.
