Songtext von For A Friend

I had my heart set on some things Now I'm here with nothing at all But a truce with you and these things (That I'm looking for) Plans have changed & I've been forced To walk away without anything at all That summer's gone Our path has lifted Our words are here But our time has moved away We spoke when you were in the gold coast of chicago (I was patiently waiting) Tara lynn I thought I'd be with you now Now ever since My plans stay buried I had my heart set on some things Now it's a truce with you that I have I'll stay west & wait for these things (That I've been looking for) Now that plans have changed & I've been forced To walk away without anything at all That summer's gone Our path has lifted My blueprints for my last few years I've thrown away We spoke when you were in the gold coast of chicago (I was patiently waiting) I thought we would be married by now (But I'm back looking) Tara lynn I thought I'd be with you now Ever since My plans stay buried (for someone else) Tara lynn I thought we'd be married by now ow ow Now ever since My plans stay buried
