Songtext von Top Shelf

Rolling broke and disgusted through the canyons of wealth Everything I swallow threatens my health I'll stop one day I promise to myself I'll stretch until it hurts but I'll reach the top shelf All my money goes into my mouth One way or another and it won't come out There's nothing in my pocket but there used to be gold A good bartender does what she's told Top shelf I think that I should The bottles may be dusty but the insides may be good Top shelf come into the light If I don't recognize you, you're gonna be shot on sight The cops get more courageous I get more depressed I don't speak her language so I frequently guess They wonder all about her from the east to the west Is she demonically or just self-possessed? Don't take away my beverages I need those for drinking Don't break apart my head tonight I'm gonna need that to do some thinking Top shelf I think that I should The bottles may be dusty but the insides may be good Top shelf come into the light If I don't recognize you, you're gonna be shot on sight Rolling broke and disgusted through the canyons of wealth Everything I swallow threatens my health I'll stop one day I promise to myself I'll stretch until it hurts but I'll reach the top shelf I think that I should The bottles may be dusty but the insides may be good Top shelf come into the light If I don't recognize you, you're gonna be shot on sight
