Songtext von Hot On My Tail

My body couldn't handle it, I couldn't hold it in I was rendered powerless, I couldn't do a thin' Beans in rich tomato sauce, familiar and tinned The rest of that long fateful night is written on the wind I took my partner by the hand, and led her up the stairs We heard a fridge door opening, it caught us unawares The colour left my lover's face, she looked nauseous and pale 'Cause there was something sinister, hot on my tail Hot on my tail Hot on my tail I'm sorry everybody But I've got something hot on my tail It was a tough one to deny but I remained tight lipped It sounded like a backpack being unzipped The atmosphere was awful and I'll never forget I don't think I'm forgiven, certainly not yet Hot on my tail Hot on my tail I'm sorry everybody But I've got something hot on my tail How could you do this dreadful thing to me That's the last time I let you cook on our anniversary To rescue the evening, I tried to no avail 'Cause there was something sinister, hot on my tail Hot on my tail Hot on my tail I'm sorry everybody But I've got something hot on my tail I'm sorry everybody But I've got something hot on my tail
