Anything But The Sun lyrics

Forget the past, flee the present There's no future when the night can't end Regret the past, shun the present There's no future when the night can't end Pictures of what never was, words never quite said Memoirs of false yesterdays, aborted dream not had Wind is calling savagely in a fractured song Weight of heaven crushes down Through the parting clouds Shadows of the fading past, it's better not to know Pray for rain or black skies Anything but the sun Only darkness can quell the tear of dawn Memories are flooding back Drowning reason like so many rats Tragedies are roaring past, Devouring reason like so many rats A fiery glow breaks the curve of the earth Prayers fell again on deafened ears All those things that never were, All those things that can never be Guilt is just a step behind
