Original lyrics
ENChorus 1:
(There's a brighter day ahead),
(hallelujah, there's a) brighter day ahead;
(no more) weeping, no more sorrow,
(no more) worrying about tomorrow.
Chorus 2:
(There's a brighter day ahead),
(hallelujah, there's a) brighter day ahead;
(with King) Jesus as my guide,
(I know I'll) make it to the other side.
Verse:
I've had my share of life's ups and downs,
(there's a brighter day ahead),
almost leveled to the ground,
(there's a brighter day ahead).
My money got low and the crowd got thin,
(there's a brighter day ahead),
King Jesus heard my cry and He stepped right in,
(there's a brighter day ahead).
Chorus 2
Vamp:
A brighter day,
a brighter day.
