I Heard Our Song lyrics

Hmm I heard an old song today and it took me to yesterday Back to the time when your love was mine now the song lingers on in my mind Stirring mem'ries that I'd left behind the time of my life when I was your wife Now the song I've heard was our song today Today the strangest thing happened and I just had the right to tell you about it Remember the guitar that you sent little Jimmy on his birthday Well he sure is learning to play it Today he played a song just for me but I had to turn away so he wouldn't see me cry Cause you see he was playin' our song the one that used to be his lullaby I heard our song my dear and it brought you so close so near Though years have gone by it still made me cry when I heard our song today mhm
