Weary And Bleary Eyed lyrics

Morphine sedates and sends you to sleep What I would give for a sleep that was deep I can hear birds calling my name What I would give to send them away Cos I'm still awake and weary and bleary eyed I switched on my bedside light Took out my shotgun instead Fired twenty rounds of pure lead The land of nod the trees are white The sky is black, it's always the night Sleeping pills do the trick The candle's reached the end of the wick It flickers and feels so weary and bleary eyed I switched on my bedside light Took out my shotgun instead Fired twenty rounds of pure lead (one verse 'oooh's) ...weary and bleary eyed I switched on my bedside light Took out my shotgun instead Fired twenty rounds of pure lead Send me to sleep (x8) To sleep (repeat and fade)
