I took my troubles down to Madame Ruth You know that gypsy with the gold-capped tooth She's got a storefront on Thirty-Fourth and Vine Dealin' little bottles of Love Potion Number Nine I told her that everything was all fine Everything 'cept that mine of mine She looked at my palm and she made a magic sign Said "What you need is Love Potion Number Nine" She jumped down, turned around, gave me a wink Said "I'm gonna mix it up right here in the sink" Smelled like turpentine, looked like ink I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink I didn't know if it was day or night I started kissin' every man in sight Never been so turned on, never felt so fine Gonna give my man some Love Potion Number Nine (Gonna give my man some, yeah) (Gonna give my man some, yeah) (Gonna give my man some, yeah) (Gonna give my man some, yeah)
