Letra de The Given

On my birthday card was written; "...be assertive," she wrote, "...take what you want." And yes, unlike the "golden days", i don't always know, no, what i want. I don't always know what i want. i don't always know what i want. And once again i'll take what i am given... And once again i'm giving the given... Chorus: Giving the given i'll strike the nail, Struck long ago it holds nothing together. Giving the given i'll drive in the nail, Struck long ago... Written on my award was "work to your potential", Know what you want, and yes, unlike the "golden days" I don't always know, no, what i want. I don't always know what i want. i don't always know what i want. Once again i'll take what i am given And once again i'm giving the given (chorus) Maybe it's a weakness of character, Negativity that is quite unattractive. Well, to some that would be giving the given, And i'd like to say that i don't care. I try to perceive the sunshine, As not just a spite To burn my flesh and blind my eyes... Good day sunshine here it comes...... (chorus)
