Letra de Day Like Today

Another day and you arrive too late The food stands cold and the candles burned away Your message on my phone won't tell I was with another girl in a cheap drive-through motel He steps through the door with his shirt untucked Says sorry babe, the elevator at work got stuck Lo i miss your lying ways The sharade that kept my head on straight Was it my mistake That i threw you away Now i feel like running home To the act of crying all alone Even a fool like you fills the hole in my heart On a day like today Only once my man and me walked hand in hand That time he ran off on an errand he prettended he had He had talked on the phone said it was from his boss But i heard a womans voice and i swear he had his fingers crossed Could not believe what i heard him say Oh honey walk back home, i'll meet you half the way Lo i miss your lying ways The sharade that kept my head on straight Was it my mistake That i threw you away Now i feel like running home To the act of crying all alone Even a fool like you fills the hole in my heart On a day like today
