Shot in the Dark lyrics

Love lies limp and restless in a mess on the floor No one thought to ask what it came here for Disregard the spent cartridge, killed all sensitivity Disposable life in one fell swoop, a hundred thousand possibilities"Love miracle" it was a shot in the darkNow my life seems so hit and miss There's a feather in my cap but only I know the truth It was a shot in the darkShot in the dark Dogs leave their mark Shot in the dark The bite is worse than the barkNo one heard the foghorn, hips that meet in the night Well I was shooting night for day, i wanted to treat you right The wound will surely heal with all probability Just rolling the dice with one bitter pill, a hundred thousand possibilities"Love miracle" it was a shot in the darkNow nothing feels so null and void There's a feather in my cap but only I know the truth It was a shot in the dark
