Paroles de Angel Boy

I remember all the feelings, the day that you were born The room was dark and dirty, your skin was new and warm I cried when I first held you, as the heavens all rejoiced You'll always be my angel boy I used to watch you sleeping, counting every breath Always climbing up those oak trees, you scared me half to death I've still got your blanket, and your basket full of toys You'll always be my angel boy A promise is a promise What the angel said came true But he made sure that he left out What you'd have to do It's the biggest kind of blessing to do the Father's will But that don't mean that I don't miss you still I know you had to do it, it was vow you had to keep But the man who hung there dying, was the boy I sang to sleep Someday I'll sing your praises, with a heart so full of joy But you'll always be my angel boy
