Paroles de Sometimes He Taketh Away

I remember when you told me that our lives were ?bout to change I was down in San Antone, you were back home in Killeen We couldn?t help but come up with a bunch of different names We forgot about the worries and the things the doctor said... I even had a dream that I saw her little face I held her in my arms she had the sweetest little smile But deep down inside we knew that our hopes would soon expire I didn?t know it would hurt so much When you told me she was gone... Chorus: We cried and we held each other tight We tried to make sense and not deny Sometimes things happen for a reason they say Sometimes the Lord giveth Sometimes he taketh away So we sat up in the bed and I wiped your tears away We came to terms with our misfortune, we even smiled a while And I promised you that someday soon we?d start to try again Oh how I pray to God That he?d give us one more child Chorus: We cried and we held each other tight We tried to make sense and not deny Maybe the next time everything will be ok Sometimes the Lord giveth Sometimes he taketh away Sometimes the Lord giveth Sometimes he taketh away
