Paroles de Janet, the Centepede

Janet, the centipede A hundred feet and a thousand ideas She wanted to get too far But her feet just took her too near Janet, the centipede Had hundred feet but went nowhere She used to dream being a movie star Maybe a role in a Disney musical She saw her feet in the Walk of Fame While starring at the wall And wrote a play to perform on Broadway While sweeping the leaves on the floor Janet, the centipede A thousand feet and a thousand ideas She wanted to get too far But her feet just took her too near She used to write in her diaries She would marry a millionaire Filled in sheets and sheets of words Then locked it up with her clothes She saw her face in a magazine cover While washing her boss pullover And will pose for a billboard photo After quitting her job at Burger King Janet, the centipede A hundred feet and a thousand ideas She wanted to get too far But her feet just took her too near Yesterday she was found Dead on the sidewalk Her face in the newspaper front page Stabbed during the carnival Maybe you don't remember about Janet You don't remember her anymore But someday, someday She's been very popular Janet, the centipede A hundred feet and a thousand ideas She wanted to get too far But her feet just took her too near
