Paroles de Thought You'd Be Taller

Never meet your hero's, they'll always let you down, They're just as shallow as you or me, Or worse than that, they're clowns, You reveal the cracks in your make-up, the closer you are, I once met a hero, someone who stood alone, But his venal heart was not into his art, And was made of not rock but stone. You reveal the cracks in your make-up the closer you are, You reveal the cracks in your make-up the closer you are. I remember you, in the early days, I remember you, before you changed your ways, I remember you, when you were one of the faces, I remember you, before your heirs and graces, I remember you, when you were one of the boys, I remember you, when you made that heavenly noise, I remember you, when you had a goal, Before you sold your soul. Never meet your hero's, it's never any fun, You'd like them to spread all their knowledge, Instead you just take the money and run, You reveal the cracks in your make-up the closer you are, You reveal the cracks in your make-up the closer you are.
